Step into spring feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, embracing the new season with a new set of tools to help you make more time for you.

After the buzz of the new year and then the disappointment of failed resolutions, spring brings with it the perfect opportunity for a fresh start for you to boost your self care routine and help support your future wellbeing. 

The ‘Escape & Create’ retreat is a day designed to nourish your mind, body and soul through learning new tools and insights on how to make new space and time for your needs and learning a new relaxing creative skill. 

We have created for you a special day to allow to put yourself first, relax and break free from the everyday. Being creative is the perfect way to loose yourself for a few hours weather your your a trained artists or a beginner. 

Take this opportunity to invest in your well being, take charge of your own needs and put yourself first. This in turn will help you feel, positive, lifted and more balanced. 

Your day includes - 

  • a selfcare plan and wellbeing workshop with Jemma

  • relaxing and calming meditation

  • a walk in the stunning grounds of Shottle Hall in the heart of the Derbyshire countryside

  • a delicious freshly prepared buffet lunch prepared by the chefs at Shottle Hall

  • a spring watercolour workshop with Emma-Jayne 

  • refreshments throughout the day

Where is the venue?

The retreat is taking place at Shottle Hall in the heart of the Derbyshire countryside. The venue address is White Lane, Shottle, Belper, DE56 2EB and there is an attached map below.

Do I need to bring anything?

If you would like to bring your own watercolour paper, paints and brushes thats fine, however paint, paper and equipment will be provided on the day.

What do I need to wear?

The dress code is casual, feel free to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. However, we do ask that you bring a pair of walking shoes or wellies with you in case the ground is wet when we go for our walk. You then may like to bring a bag for these once back in the hall.

Is there a payment plan available?

The full ticket price for the retreat is £95 with an special early bird offer of £85 until 16th February. We do have a two-part payment plan option in place for those who need it.  Please drop us an email to discuss in more detail escapeandcreateretreats@gmail.com

At this time we are unable to offer refunds on any tickets purchased. 

Will there be gluten free options available?

Yes, all dietary requirements will be catered for.  All you have to do is send us an email and let us know so that we can inform the chefs at the venue.

Jemma Andrew-Adiamah is a certified holistic wellness coach, blogger and retreat host trained with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition with over 8 years experience in the wellness industry. Through tools and insights focused on self care, mindfulness and balance she is passionate in helping women feel nourished unconditionally in all areas of life.

Emma-Jayne Bourne is an artists, born in Staffordshire now living in Derbyshire who has a great passion for countryside life and being creative. Having a BA Honours in Contemporary Crafts and over 20 years experience in creative industries and educational settings, she combines these qualifications and skills and has set up her own business Sweet Pea Designs.

Creating original watercolour paintings of country farm animals, illustrations mixed with her love of hedgerow finds, dried grasses and cow parsley and using fine liner together with watercolour to create these images. These grasses are also pressed into air drying clay which Emma-Jayne creates delicate accessories for the home.
